Your
pet’s safety is of utmost importance at Noah’s. We routinely perform
electrocardiograms, monitor the patient’s heart/pulse rate, respiration
rate, end tidal CO2, and body temperature during medical procedures. The
electrocardiogram (ECG or EKG) is a noninvasive test that is used to
reflect underlying heart conditions by measuring the electrical activity
of the heart. By positioning leads (electrical sensing devices) on the
body in standardized locations, information about many heart conditions
can be learned by looking for characteristic patterns on the ECG.
The
patient’s vital signs are continuously monitored by our compassionate
and trained staff until the pet is fully recovered and ready to go home.
